Zacatecas Launches National Vaccination Week Activities

Zacatecas, Zac. – Aiming to bolster efforts focused on public health and well-being, in line with the agenda set by Governor David Monreal Ávila, Zacatecas has commenced its activities for the 2025 National Vaccination Week.

Uswaldo Pinedo Barrios, head of the State Health Secretariat (SSZ), along with directors from all institutions within the Health Sector, led the press conference announcing the details of this nationwide campaign, which runs from April 26th to May 3rd.

Under the slogan «Vaccination is Health,» the initiative aims to administer 20,460 doses of various vaccines targeting all age groups.

The biological agents to be provided include: BCG (for Meningeal Tuberculosis), Hexavalent (for diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, poliomyelitis, hepatitis B, and Haemophilus influenzae type B), Pneumococcal, Rotavirus, MMR (for Measles, Rubella, and Mumps), DPT (for Diphtheria, pertussis, and tetanus), Td (for tetanus and diphtheria), Tdap (for tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis), and HPV (Human Papillomavirus).

Vaccination stations have been established across the state at all medical units, as well as in high-traffic locations such as supermarkets, churches, and open-air markets. Additionally, door-to-door campaigns will be conducted in the most densely populated areas.
