Zacatecas, Mexico – In a concerted effort with the Mexican federal government, the state of Zacatecas will participate in the National Civil Protection Simultaneous Drill this Tuesday, April 29, commencing at 11:30 AM. This was announced by the Secretary General of Government, Rodrigo Reyes Mugüerza.
Reyes Mugüerza emphasized that Zacatecas’ involvement reflects Governor David Monreal Ávila’s firm belief in the significance of cultivating and promoting a culture of prevention. This proactive approach aims to safeguard the well-being and lives of all individuals within the state.
Jorge Gallardo Álvarez, the State Coordinator of Civil Protection, detailed the participation of various federal entities, including the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), the Institute for Social Security and Services for State Workers (ISSSTE), 1 the National Migration Institute, and the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE).
Representing the Zacatecas state government will be the entire Administrative City complex, the Cecytez educational institutions, ISSSTEZAC (the state’s social security institute), Quantum City of Knowledge, Casa Cuna Plácido Domingo (children’s home), Casa Hogar de los Jóvenes (youth shelter), and the State Congress. Municipalities and the private banking sector will also actively participate in the drill.
Key responders involved in the simulation include the State and municipal Civil Protection agencies, State Public Security, the Mexican Army, the National Guard, the Red Cross, and the Zacatecas Medical Emergency Network (Remeza). This comprehensive participation underscores the commitment to enhancing emergency response capabilities and public safety across Zacatecas.
