The General Council of the Electoral Institute of the State of Zacatecas (IEEZ) has approved the guidelines for the development of municipal vote counting sessions and the handbook on valid and null votes. These documents will be applied during the municipal tallies of the Extraordinary Electoral Process for the Judicial Branch of the State of Zacatecas 2025.
The electoral documentation to be used in the scrutiny and counting activities, scheduled for June 1, 2025, was also endorsed.
Furthermore, the equipment conditions, operating mechanisms, and security measures necessary for safeguarding the electoral documentation and materials were approved. The person responsible for controlling the assignment of ballot paper serial numbers to be distributed at each polling station was also designated.
Finally, with the tie-breaking vote of the Presiding Counselor, the appointment of individuals to the various Municipal Electoral Councils was approved, following replacements due to resignations or non-acceptance of the position.
