Ojocaliente, Zac. – With a firm commitment to improving the nutrition and well-being of Zacatecan children, the Honorary President of the State System for Integral Family Development (SEDIF), Sara Hernández de Monreal, led the delivery of kitchen equipment for the launch of the «Manitas Sanas» (Healthy Little Hands) school cafeteria at the Gabino Barreda Kindergarten, located in the municipal seat of Ojocaliente.
The equipment, valued at nearly 160 thousand pesos, will directly benefit more than 160 families by providing hot, nutritious, and balanced breakfasts to the students of the school. This action will not only positively impact the children’s health but will also contribute to their academic achievement and alleviate family financial burdens.
«Full bellies, happy hearts, that’s what we want to achieve in them, their happiness,» expressed Sara Hernández de Monreal during the event, where she also distributed toys to the children as part of the recent Children’s Day celebration. «I brought you these gifts because you deserve to smile and enjoy your childhood,» she added.
The event was attended by Mayor Juan Manuel Zambrano Jiménez, who thanked Governor David Monreal Ávila for promoting actions that improve the quality of life for Zacatecan families.
Also participating were Ivonne Fabiola Hernández Álvarez, honorary president of the Municipal DIF System, and Fátima del Rosario Rodríguez Guevara, director of the Gabino Barreda Kindergarten.
Representing the mothers and fathers, María Fernández Hernández acknowledged the institutional effort and expressed gratitude for the cafeteria, which will provide the children with nutritious, balanced, and varied meals, in addition to fostering camaraderie among classmates.
Finally, the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the «Manitas Sanas» School Cafeteria took place, and in a joyful atmosphere, raffles of skates, tricycles, and toys were held for all members of the school community.
