Rosarito, Baja California As part of the agenda at Tianguis Turístico México 2025, taking place in Baja California, the Government of Zacatecas, led by State Governor David Monreal Ávila, continues to strengthen its position as a cultural and experiential destination through significant promotion and inter-institutional collaboration efforts.
A highlight of the day was the launch of the Guía Zacatecas (Zacatecas Guide), a collaborative effort with México Desconocido (Unknown Mexico). This editorial tool showcases the state’s main attractions and proposes new tourist routes designed for all types of travelers, thereby reinforcing the state administration’s comprehensive promotion strategy.
Within this framework, the Zacatecas Tourism Secretariat executed key collaboration agreements with recognized industry institutions.
Notably, a collaboration agreement was signed with the Mexican Association of Travel Agencies (AMAV), with the presence of its President, Felipe Cervantes Vega, and the Secretary of Tourism of Zacatecas, Le Roy Barragán Ocampo. This agreement aims to boost training and the development of regional tourism products, including hosting the Central-Bajío Regional Tourism Product Workshop, with representatives from Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosí, and Zacatecas, the latter serving as the host.
Furthermore, a Collaboration Agreement was formalized with the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry (CANIRAC), represented by its National President, Ignacio Alarcón Rodríguez Pacheco. This agreement emphasizes the importance of establishing collaborative mechanisms to strengthen Zacatecas’ gastronomic heritage and professionalize the restaurant sector through training and skills development initiatives.
Additionally, a Collaboration Agreement was signed with the National Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism (CANACO SERVYTUR), represented by its President, Octavio de la Torre Stéffano. This agreement reflects the mutual interest in establishing foundations to promote investment attraction, strengthen the sector’s competitiveness, and develop joint strategies that boost tourism at both national and international levels.
These agreements demonstrate Zacatecas’ commitment to strengthening inter-institutional collaboration and consolidating joint strategies that drive economic and tourism development in the region, thus contributing to the positioning of Zacatecas as a renowned cultural and experiential destination.
