With a repertoire consisting of pieces such as the Sonata by Francis Poulenc, the 3 Preludes by George Gershwin, Danzón no 5 by Arturo Márquez, and Zarabandeo, a piece by the same author dedicated to the Zacatecan clarinetist Luis Humberto Ramos, who conceived this presentation, the «Clarineteando» concert took place at the Fernando Calderón Theater.
Framed within the Year of Peace in Zacatecas, which Governor David Monreal Ávila conceived for the pacification of the state, with a Great Agenda that includes artistic and cultural activities, this concert featured the participation of Luis Humberto Ramos on clarinet, Alfonso Vázquez on piano, Antonio Hernández on double bass, Esteban Alvarado on drums, and Alan Bazavilvazo on guitar, all of them outstanding musicians from Zacatecas.
In this concert, the danzón predominated, although jazz and other rhythms such as blues, by composers from the 19th and 20th centuries, invaded the hall of the emblematic Fernando Calderón Theater, inviting attendees to dance to some of the pieces performed here, in a unique evening organized by the Zacatecan Institute of Culture (IZC) «Ramón López Velarde» and with the support of the Autonomous University of Zacatecas (UAZ).
