Governor David Monreal Ávila is making strides in his commitment to intervene and improve the road network that spans the entire state. Evidence of this is the investment of nearly 22 million pesos for the rehabilitation of sections of the Zacatecas-Guadalajara highway, a project that was supervised by the governor this Tuesday.

During a tour of the work covering sections in the regions of Jalpa, Juchipila, Tabasco, Huanusco, Apozol, and Moyahua, Monreal Ávila stated that he works every day to provide the people of Zacatecas with streets, roads, and highways in optimal conditions, as he promised from the first day of his administration.

Accompanied by the Secretary of Public Works, José Luis de la Peña, he detailed that this specific project involves 44.4 kilometers directly impacting 66,680 residents of that southern region. The work includes the placement of asphalt pavement, weeding, cleaning of ditches, sealing of isolated cracks, surface and deep patching, and the installation of signage and safety devices.

It is also worth noting that, in a first phase, 95.1 kilometers of sections of the Zacatecas-Guadalajara highway have been rehabilitated, with an investment exceeding 155 million pesos.

Also on Tuesday, Governor David Monreal Ávila supervised the rehabilitation work on the Villanueva-El Salto-Tarasco road section in the municipality of Villanueva.

This project directly benefits 450 residents who use it daily. The investment there amounts to 3 million 480 thousand pesos, funded by the state and municipalities. The project involves the application of asphalt mix (a compacted layer 5 centimeters thick).

After touring both highways, the governor reiterated his commitment to conclude 2024 with a significant investment of 300 million pesos in public works for the entire state, all of the highest quality, highlighting the importance of his supervisory tours.
