The Honorary President of the State System for the Integral Development of the Family (SEDIF), Sara Hernández de Monreal, made working visits to school food spaces in the municipalities of Huanusco and Apozol, where she witnessed the daily attention that children receive, with a positive impact on their health through nutrition.
During a working tour in the southern part of the state, Hernández de Monreal visited the school food space in the town of Ciénega de Arriba, in Huanusco, where she witnessed that the children receive healthy food under quality care provided by volunteer mothers.
Later, she visited the pond that houses the fish farm, a project that is part of community development programs, with favorable results that will yield approximately 500 fish in the next six months.
During her visit to the municipality of Apozol, she went to the food space located in the town of Palma Cuata, where she inaugurated the school cafeteria that was equipped with kitchen utensils, furniture, and food packages, a project that is part of the transition from cold breakfasts to hot breakfasts.
She reported that in the state, there are approximately 538 food spaces, where there has been progress in the transition from cold breakfasts to hot breakfasts, and it is ensured that the food is provided to the children under quality standards and with healthy preparation.
During the working tour, the Honorary President of SEDIF was accompanied by the mayor of Apozol, Gabriela Arellano Quezada, as well as representatives from the municipal systems for the Integral Development of the Family of Huanusco and Apozol.
