ArtGirls, boys, and young people from Zacatecas and Aguascalientes present creative exhibition "I have a dream"

Members of Creative Seedbeds carried out «I have a dream», a creative exhibition that featured the exhibition «Seeds of identity: cultural and natural heritage of our communities», in which the public could appreciate more than 150 works dedicated to flora, fauna, and pre-Hispanic mythology.

Representing Governor David Monreal Ávila, the director of the Zacatecan Institute of Culture «Ramón López Velarde», María de Jesús Muñoz Reyes, indicated that it is a very useful program that fulfills the objectives of the power of culture, by creating bonds among all citizens of the state and the country.

The event, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Government of Mexico, through the Community Culture program, in collaboration with the governments of the states of Aguascalientes and Zacatecas, sought to be a stage where art and culture manifest the identity of both regions, thanks to the creative power of their children and youth.

The show was complemented by dances from Hacienda de El Nigromante, Matlachines, and Sones de Jerez, performed by members of the Creative Seedbed of Folkloric Dance of Pinos, Zacatecas; as well as the Marcha Zacatecas, performed by members of the State Band.

These dances are among the most characteristic and popular in the region; their music injected enthusiasm into both dancers and musicians as well as spectators.

Accompanied by the Zacatecas State Symphonic Band, members of the Creative Seedbed of Radio in Guadalupe, Zacatecas, performed the rap «The power of culture», written by them, along with their teacher Sergio D. Durón, highlighting the transformative power of girls, boys, and young people as cultural agents, and which has become an anthem for all Creative Seedbeds.
