Zacatecas, Zac. – The Government of Zacatecas, led by Governor David Monreal Ávila, through the Local Search Commission for Persons, and the State Attorney General’s Office held their bi-weekly meeting with representatives of search collectives this Friday. During the meeting, they provided updates on actions undertaken this week and outlined activities planned for the coming days.

Representatives from the Local Search Commission for Persons detailed the work and functions of the context analysis area. The aim was to ensure that families of missing persons have a thorough understanding of the work conducted before a search is scheduled.

Families of missing persons were informed that context analysis begins with a review of interviews conducted to gather information surrounding the disappearance or non-location of an individual.

Based on this review, and with support from the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Forced Disappearance and Disappearance Committed by Individuals, as well as legal areas, existing information is reviewed, data is cross-referenced, and call records are verified, among other actions.

The coordinated and collaborative work, which has been strengthened to enhance searches and ensure justice for families, was highlighted during the meeting.
