La Junta Intermunicipal de Agua Potable y Alcantarillado de Zacatecas (JIAPAZ) realiza un esfuerzo extraordinario en Infraestructura hidráulica Zacatecas al sustituir una línea de conducción en la colonia Lázaro Cárdenas. El proyecto busca dar seguridad en el servicio a 45 mil domicilios.
Adiós a fugas: 100 litros/segundo recuperados
La obra sustituirá una tubería antigua y de difícil acceso que había rebasado su vida útil. Jorge Nava de León, director de Distribución, explicó que, al eliminar las fugas agua Zacatecas, se recuperarán 100 litros de agua por segundo para las redes de distribución.
Este caudal beneficiará con mejores presiones a 41 colonias del Sistema La Joya, incluyendo puntos críticos como el Centro Histórico y zonas altas.
Estrategia de ‘tiros de precisión’
Nava de León afirmó que la estrategia de mejoramiento incluye «tiros de precisión» en obras de conducción y distribución en las zonas más críticas.
Mencionó como ejemplo otras obras de impacto: el nuevo rebombeo PGR (que conduce 150 litros/segundo a 60 colonias), el rebombeo El Vergel (para 125 colonias) y la acción en el Sistema Bañuelos-San Ramón.
🇺🇸 JIAPAZ Renews Water Line to Supply 45,000 Homes and Recovers Lost Flow
The Intermunicipal Board of Drinking Water and Sewerage of Zacatecas (JIAPAZ) is building a new water line in the Lázaro Cárdenas neighborhood to secure Zacatecas water service for 45,000 homes. This new line will replace an outdated pipe to recover flow lost to leaks.
100 Liters Per Second Recovered
Jorge Nava de León, Distribution Director, noted that the replacement will recover 100 liters of water per second. This recovered flow will ensure better pressure in high-altitude areas covered by the La Joya system, benefiting 41 neighborhoods from Díaz Ordaz to Sierra de Álica, including the Historic Center.
The project starts at the Base 5 pump station of the La Joya system, covering a length of 1,040 meters. To minimize disruption, work will be carried out in short segments, opened and closed on the same day.
Extraordinary Infrastructure Effort
Nava de León highlighted the extraordinary effort made by the administration to improve hydraulic infrastructure, simultaneously drilling new wells and carrying out large-scale projects like the new PGR pump station and the El Vergel pump station.
The director defined the strategy as one of «precision shots,» combining new perforations with essential work on conduction and distribution lines in the most critical areas.
